Todd Grant - President
NBDA 

Todd joined the NBDA in 2015. He began his career in the bicycle industry twenty years ago while completing his law degree by working as an intern for the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA). He has been active in the cycling industry ever since.  Todd's experience spans from working in bicycle shops to sales and brand management with manufacturers such as Raleigh, Pearl Izumi and Niner Bikes.  He has held several elected-official positions in his community, and enjoys competing in ultra distance running and cycling races.

Brandee Lepak - Board Chair
Global Bikes - Gilbert, AZ

Brandee has been the co-owner of Global Bikes in Arizona for 15 years, and has helped expand the company to four locations throughout the Phoenix Metro area.  She has a passion for getting kids on bikes and is the Founder of Trips for Kids Phoenix (which serves at-risk youth in the Phoenix area).  She has been involved with the Mountain Bike Association of Arizona, IMBA, NICA and several community action organizations.  Brandee has also been instrumental in helping Phoenix, Chandler and Gilbert, AZ expand their cycling infrastructure and provide safe cycling education to the residents of those communities.

Robert Fullem - First Vice Chair
The Downtube Bicycle Works - Albany, NY

Bob is founder and majority owner of The Downtube Bicycle Works in Albany, New York, now in its 44th year.  He is a member of the NBDA Profitability Project, a former school board member and a graduate of Cornell Law School (with experience in employment and contract law).  Bob is a roadie and also packs his Brompton when flying.

Jeff Selzer - Secretary
Palo Alto Bikes - Palo Alto, CA

Jeff Selzer is the General Manager of Palo Alto Bicycles, a family owned shop established in 1930.  In 2004 Jeff co-founded Bike Arc LLC (designed and developed a bike parking system that created a safe and attractive way to organize bikes in the public realm).  Jeff sits on the board of Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and was a board member of the non-profit Bikestation where he helped to transition that organization to a for-profit corporation called Mobil Transportation Solutions.  An avid rider, Jeff is a cat 2 on the road, has toured and commutes daily on the most efficient form of transportation known to man, the bicycle.

Kent Cranford - Second Vice Chair
Motion Makers Bicycle Shop - Asheville, NC

Kent purchased the original Motion Makers in 2007, and then opened the Asheville location in 2010.  His love for bikes began when he started racing BMX bikes in the late 70's. He worked in different bike shops through high school and college.  Eventually, he landed industry jobs with Litespeed and Specialized, but the draw to own his own bicycle shop in "the greatest cycling region in the U.S." could not be ignored.  Kent has been an advocate for the regional trails and bike facilities for over 20 years and believes in his store's motto of "We Sell Happiness".  Motion Makers is an Elite Specialized store, and is one of the largest in the region.

Dave Enz
Oakdale Bicycle Shop., Inc - Oakdale CA

Dave has been the owner of Oakdale Bicycle Shop, Inc, Oakdale California for four years.  He has a background in customer service, sales training, inventory management and credit management for over 40 years.  He has been a life-long cycling enthusiast, and began his tenure in the bicycle industry ten years ago as a salesperson.  Dave serves as course marshal for multiple century rides, and his shop is the area headquarters for Team in Training, the major sponsor for Bikes for Kids, The Children's Guardian House, and the Ride for Mom.

Phil Cohen
Chain Reaction Bicycles, Evans, GA

Phil has been the owner of Chain Reaction Bicycles in Evans, GA since 1991.  He began his career in the bicycle business in 1983 as a mechanic and salesperson.  Phil's many cycling pursuits have included triathlons, bike racing, touring, randonneuring, recumbent riding, commuting, and riding the tandem with his wife and daughters.  Phil serves his community on several boards, merchant associations, and founded and runs the largest bicycle event in his area. "I am working to make cycling better in my community and hope to equally make a difference at the national level as a member of the NBDA board."

Mike Jacoubowsky
Chain Reaction Bicycles - Redwood City, CA

Mike Jacoubowsky and his brother, Steve, have owned Chain Reaction Bicycles for 36 years, with two location on the San Francisco Peninsula.  Mike serves on Redwood City's Complete Streets Committee, working to make Redwood City a better place for bikes and feet.

Erik Kugler - Treasurer
BicycleSPCACE - Washington, DC

Erik has been working in bicycle retail for over 20 years, first as a bookkeeper, then accountant and CFO in his local bike shop, and for the past six years as co-owner of BicycleSPACE in Washington, DC.  BicycleSPACE has expanded from one to three shops in the past year, and Erik is actively growing the Washington, DC market by serving on the Bicycle Advisory Council, which advises the Mayor and DC Council on bicycle and transportation related matters.

Kelli Kavanaugh
Wheelhouse Detroit - Detroit, MI

Kelli opened Wheelhouse in 2008 with a business partner and became sole owner in 2015.  She has a background in community development, journalism and bar-tending.  She's a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses graduate and also sits on the board of directors for the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy.  She has been involved with organizing the Tour de Troit, Michigan's largest bike ride, since 2005.

James Moore
Moore's Bicycle Shop - Hattiesburg, MS

James Moore left his job as elementary music teacher in 1984 to act on his longtime dream of owning a bicycle shop. He owns Moore's Bicycle Shop in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he also sits on the board of Southern Pines Animal Shelter and several local bike advocacy groups.  He has served as an elected city official from 2005 to 2009 where he built the state's first public dog park.  His favorite pastime is attending community and college theatrical performances which Moore's helps sponsor.
