Brandee Lepak - Board Chair
Global Bikes - Gilbert, AZ

Brandee has been the co-owner of Global Bikes in Arizona for 15 years, and has helped expand the company to four locations throughout the Phoenix Metro area.  She has a passion for getting kids on bikes and is the Founder of Trips for Kids Phoenix (which serves at-risk youth in the Phoenix area).  She has been involved with the Mountain Bike Association of Arizona, IMBA, NICA and several community action organizations.  Brandee has also been instrumental in helping Phoenix, Chandler and Gilbert, AZ expand their cycling infrastructure and provide safe cycling education to the residents of those communities.

Robert Fullem - First Vice Chair
The Downtube Bicycle Works - Albany, NY

Bob is founder and majority owner of The Downtube Bicycle Works in Albany, New York, now in its 44th year.  He is a member of the NBDA Profitability Project, a former school board member and a graduate of Cornell Law School (with experience in employment and contract law).  Bob is a roadie and also packs his Brompton when flying.

Kent Cranford - Second Vice Chair
Motion Makers Bicycle Shop - Asheville, NC

Kent purchased the original Motion Makers in 2007, and then opened the Asheville location in 2010.  His love for bikes began when he started racing BMX bikes in the late 70's. He worked in different bike shops through high school and college.  Eventually, he landed industry jobs with Litespeed and Specialized, but the draw to own his own bicycle shop in "the greatest cycling region in the U.S." could not be ignored.  Kent has been an advocate for the regional trails and bike facilities for over 20 years and believes in his store's motto of "We Sell Happiness".  Motion Makers is an Elite Specialized store, and is one of the largest in the region.

Dave Enz 
Oakdale Bicycle Shop, Inc. - Oakdale CA

Dave has been the owner of Oakdale Bicycle Shop, Inc, Oakdale California for four years.  He has a background in customer service, sales training, inventory management and credit management for over 40 years.  He has been a life-long cycling enthusiast, and began his tenure in the bicycle industry ten years ago as a salesperson.  Dave serves as course marshal for multiple century rides, and his shop is the area headquarters for Team in Training, the major sponsor for Bikes for Kids, The Children's Guardian House, and the Ride for Mom.

Peter Henry 
Landry's Bicycles - Massachusetts (7 locations) 

Peter started in the bike industry when he graduated in 1974, and bought his first shop from Leon Landry in 1975, just in time for the end of the Bike Boom.  With his late wife Jeanne they operated as a ‘mom and pop’ sized shop into the ‘1980s, and with his brother Tom as an additional partner they became multi-store in 1990.  Peter was drawn to bike retail because he loved fixing bikes; he listed his occupation as “bicycle mechanic” into the 90s.  But after growing to 4 stores in 1996, shifted his focus to financial management of the business.  Peter has been a member of the NBDA’s Profitability Project since it started in 2012.

Kelli Kavanaugh
Wheelhouse Detroit - Detroit, MI

Kelli opened Wheelhouse in 2008 with a business partner and became sole owner in 2015.  She has a background in community development, journalism and bar-tending.  She's a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses graduate and also sits on the board of directors for the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy.  She has been involved with organizing the Tour de Troit, Michigan's largest bike ride, since 2005.

James Moore
Moore's Bicycle Shop - Hattiesburg, MS

James Moore left his job as elementary music teacher in 1984 to act on his longtime dream of owning a bicycle shop. He owns Moore's Bicycle Shop in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he also sits on the board of Southern Pines Animal Shelter and several local bike advocacy groups.  He has served as an elected city official from 2005 to 2009 where he built the state's first public dog park.  His favorite pastime is attending community and college theatrical performances which Moore's helps sponsor.

Amelia Kegel
Wheel & Sprocket - Milwaukee, WI

Amelia was born into the bike industry as the oldest daughter to Chris Kegel of Wheel & Sprocket. Her love for cycling started young with family bikes that scaled up to cycling tours across the US and Canada.

After graduating college in Vancouver, BC with a Forestry and Natural Resource Conservation Degree, Amelia moved back to Milwaukee, WI to pursue her career in the bike industry. Amelia has been heading the marketing and events departments at Wheel & Sprocket for the last 5 years, helping to find creative ways to get more people on bikes while focusing on year-round cycling initiatives. Amelia has been active in cycling advocacy locally and nationally from serving as chairperson for the Milwaukee County Trails Council, to speaking engagements like the recent Places for Bikes National Conference.

Chad Pickard
Spoke-n-Sport - South Dakota (2 locations)

In 6th grade Chad took apart and rebuilt his first coaster brake hub.  It was that curiosity that kept him working in bike service shops from the age of 14 till buying Spoke-N-Sport in 2001.  Mountain bikes and Hans Rey ignited his passion for technical trail riding a few years later.  Chad's work experience is almost 100% bike stores but he is always looking to other industries to improve the customer experience in his two stores.  Chad serves on the bike committee in Sioux Falls and has played an active role in defending the rights of cyclists at the state level including the most recent 3 foot / 6 foot passing law.

Phil Cohen

Chain Reaction Bicycles, Evans, GA

Phil has been the owner of Chain Reaction Bicycles in Evans, GA since 1991.  He began his career in the bicycle business in 1983 as a mechanic and salesperson.  Phil's many cycling pursuits have included triathlons, bike racing, touring, randonneuring, recumbent riding, commuting, and riding the tandem with his wife and daughters.  Phil serves his community on several boards, merchant associations, and founded and runs the largest bicycle event in his area. "I am working to make cycling better in my community and hope to equally make a difference at the national level as a member of the NBDA board."

Mike Jacoubowsky

Chain Reaction Bicycles - Redwood City, CA

Mike Jacoubowsky and his brother, Steve, have owned Chain Reaction Bicycles for 36 years, with two location on the San Francisco Peninsula.  Mike serves on Redwood City's Complete Streets Committee, working to make Redwood City a better place for bikes and feet.
