NBDA Member Call Out: Northtowne Cycling Celebrates 100 Years
Northtowne Cycling & Fitness proudly celebrated its 100th anniversary with a special ribbon cutting, honoring a century of dedication to community, health, and the love of cycling. What began in 1925 with Willard Morgan at 510 3rd Avenue has grown into a multi-generational, community-driven business.
Derek Stepanek, the current owner (4th generation), spoke about how the Morgan-Stepanek family has stayed committed to their purpose of getting people moving!! Whether during the 1970s bike boom, the rise of BMX, the addition of fitness equipment in the 1980s or the E-bike evolution, each chapter reflected growth and grit. As the next generation of leadership emerges, there’s a deep sense of gratitude for those who built this foundation. With excitement for the road ahead, Northtowne remains committed to empowering their community, one ride at a time.
This day was celebrated with Bill and Jane Stepanek (3rd Generation) Don Stepanek and his wife Debbie (3rd Generation) and the sons of Don Morgan (2nd Generation) Mike and Kevin Morgan, and of course Derek Stepanek (4th Generation) and his wife, Jodi and their children, Jocelyn and Julia. The community and staff affectionately gathered in support of this accomplishment as only 1/2 of 1% of businesses have made it to 100 years!
Here’s to the next 100 years for Northtowne! Enjoy the Ride!
