Supporting Diversity and Growth in Our Industry
This episode’s guest is Benita Warns, co-owner of Midway Bicycle Supply. Midway specializes in sales to very small bike shops, including non-profits and other operations that often can’t get accounts with other distributors. Warns and her husband Michael also operate a volunteer-run bike shop of their own, Mr. Michael Recycles Bicycles. Midway, which incorporated in 2013, stocks products from Kenda, KMC, UNO, Co-Union, Wald and others. Unlike some distributors, Midway doesn’t require a brick-and-mortar location or landline phone. Midway requires that its wholesale customers have liability insurance and some form of business incorporation or a fiscal agent and have a state tax ID number. Listen in as we get to know more about Midway, the Warns and how they support diversity and growth in our industry.
