The NBDA Women in the Bicycle Industry (WIBI) program will serve as a dynamic, all-encompassing platform to support, elevate, and connect women working in all areas of the cycling industry. With a focus on recruitment, mentorship, professional development, community-building, and celebration, this initiative will serve as a cornerstone in fostering equity, retention, and opportunity. Program Pillars and Components
Biannual Virtual Job Fair (Mid-January & Mid-July)
- Next Date: July 15, 2025
- Virtual career fair dedicated to recruiting and retaining women in the bike industry.
- 90 minutes
- Brands, retailers, and organizations: Submit your job listing here
- Features:
- Live job board with openings in retail, sales, product development, advocacy, etc.
- Job “pitch” by brand representative
- Chat questions to brand representative
Job Board
Quarterly Virtual Meetups
- Informal Zoom gatherings for women across the industry to connect, share ideas, and discuss meaningful topics.
- Dates for 2025:
- 60 minutes
- Topics may include work-life balance, leadership pathways, supplier relationships, service center management, equity in the workplace, and more.
- Attendees will complete a survey ahead of time to submit topic requests
- Moderated by the Executive Director, Programs Director
Annual In-Person Gatherings
- First Event: September 2025
- WIBI In-Person Gathering – community, panels, and networkingHosted in partnership with Chicago women-run shop BFF Bikes, this full-day event is your chance to connect with fellow women from across the industry, share stories, and strengthen our growing community. We’ll gather off-site near the shop at a welcoming and inclusive space to host the day’s sessions.
