NBDA Announces 2023 Retailer Excellence Award Winners
The National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA) has announced the 2023 winners of the Retailer Excellence Awards (REA). 82 retailers from North America have been awarded this recognition in levels of Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. These levels were based on application score and online presence, including website and social feeds. In addition, the 2023 program featured an elevated award tier, the President’s Award, in which 5 retailers were awarded with this high level of distinction.
Retailers that earn the distinction of Bicycle Retailer of Excellence, the most significant credential of its type for independent bicycle dealers, receive an official certificate, marketing signage for their shop, and digital marketing materials for their websites and social media.
Retailers will be recognized for their retailer excellence in a virtual ceremony open to retailers, industry suppliers, and consumers to be held via zoom on July 13th, 2023, at 7pm EST. Those being recognized are encouraged to invite their staff, vendors, and rider communities to celebrate in their achievement. The award presentation will be available post event for viewing via the NBDA Youtube Channel. In addition to the Excellence Award Winner Announcements. a few other presentations will be made; the recipients of the People’s Choice Award, in which riders voted for their local retailer, will be congratulated and the NBDA will welcome association partner HLC to the stage to award several scholarships to winning retailers for NBDA memberships.
“The Excellence award program is our way of symbolizing to riders and communities these retailers that rank on the highest level of achievement”, said NBDA President Heather Mason. “The 2023 applications highlighted some of the most progressive retailer excellence we have witnessed. The challenging times have brought creative strategies to retail, and we have been grateful to share these examples of excellence with the industry at large via our podcast Bicycle Retail Radio. My heartfelt congratulations and thanks to all this year’s participants. We look forward to welcoming more retailers to the program and award in years to come.”
